We're looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Breakfast & After School Club Assistant to join our welcoming team in St Albans. This is a highly rewarding role where every day is different, giving you the opportunity to help children learn, play and thrive in a safe, happy and nurturing environment.
About the role
You'll play an important part in delivering high-quality wraparound care by:
Planning and leading fun, engaging activities that support children's learning, development and wellbeing.
Creating a safe, caring and inclusive environment where every child feels valued.
Preparing and serving a light tea for the children.
Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
Helping to ensure the club runs smoothly each day.
Hours
Salary
£10.85-£15.00 per hour, depending on age, qualifications and experience.
About you
We're looking for someone who is:
Friendly, caring and enthusiastic.
Organised, reliable and able to work as part of a team.
Passionate about supporting children to have fun and develop new skills.
A Level 2 Childcare qualification or previous experience working with children would be an advantage, as would supervisory or management experience.
It would also be beneficial if you hold certificates in:
Paediatric First Aid
Safeguarding
Food Hygiene
Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) would also be an advantage.
