About the role

We are looking for passionate innovators to join us this September in our mission to provide the highest quality of education for all at The Greenfield and Hurst Drive Federation.

We are seeking teachers who believe in the power of education to transform lives and those who are ambitious about the impact our schools can have on our community.

If you hold QTS, believe in the importance of life-long learning, are wholeheartedly committed to your own professional development and are seeking to work within a supportive learning community, then we encourage you to come and visit us and apply to join our team.

Our children are excited and enthusiastic about learning, they want the very best for their education and we believe they deserve it. If this is you, please contact us to find out more.

We welcome applications from ECTs as well as experienced teachers with a possibility of phase leadership and a TLR2 for experienced candidates.

We are looking for a teacher with:

  • Confidence to teach with a strong teacher presence;

  • Excellent, relevant subject knowledge;

  • The ability to develop strong working relationships with children, parents and colleagues;

  • An awareness of current educational theory, experience of applying it in practice and the ability to reflect on the impact of this;

  • A subject specialism or area of interest;

  • Enthusiasm and resilience that the role requires;

  • The ability to be a good team player who recognises that the role extends beyond their own classroom;

  • A clear approach to behaviour management that includes a firm understanding of the possible root causes of behaviour and how to use this to support children.

We can offer you a supportive and welcoming staff team and amazing children who love to learn. Here is what one of our current teachers has to say about working in our Primary School:

"I initially began working at Hurst Drive Primary School as a trainee teacher and have chosen to stay at this warm and supportive school throughout and beyond my ECT induction period. Throughout my time at Hurst Drive I have been supported to develop as a teacher and have worked with friendly and helpful members of staff. The cohorts I have been fortunate to teach have allowed me to work with curious and enthusiastic pupils who are fantastic examples of the standards we set of The Hurst Drive Way, and make teaching every day a true joy."

To find out more about us please watch our video tour and visit the Hurst Drive and Greenfield websites and follow us on LinkedIn.

Visits to the federation are highly encouraged, giving you the opportunity to meet our fantastic pupils and welcoming staff, see our extensive grounds and talk in more detail about working at the federation with a member of our senior leadership team.

Please contact Cetta Guglielmo, PA to Executive Headteacher, if you have any questions or would like to arrange to visit the federation.

Date for interview: Week beginning 20th May

Please note that we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. This post is subject to safer recruitment measures which will include an enhanced criminal record check via the Disclosure and Barring Service.

We reserve the right to interview before the closing date and encourage early applications.
