About the role

The children and staff at Camps Hill Primary School are seeking a teacher to join our busy and vibrant community. We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic class teacher who would like to join our school on a full time permanent basis from September 2024. We are looking for dynamic, kind and caring individuals who have the drive and commitment to work within our team to make a difference to our young people’s lives and provide memorable fun learning experiences for the pupils of Camps Hill. 

Camps Hill Community Primary School is a 2-form entry school situated in the Chells Ward of Stevenage, England. We currently have 502 children on role from 2 years to 11 years old. The school is built on a historical hill with large, green and spacious grounds- we even have a converted bus as an outdoor classroom! We are known for our enriched, creative curriculum and exceptional pastoral care for everyone in our community.

Governors, staff, children and parents are very proud of the school, which is warm, friendly, and happy. We have a caring 'learning ethos' where everyone is valued for who they are. The school has strong links in the community and actively seeks to work in partnership with other local schools, charities and various local organisations. We are part of a Multi-Academy Trust, the Claxton Trust, with Fairlands Primary School which was created by both schools in 2017 whilst valuing our individual identities and joint inclusive ethos. 

Both experiences Teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECT) will be considered.

The school offers excellent CPD development training with the online 'National College', face-to-face sessions with key speakers in the industry and regular STEPs behaviour training, Safeguarding, Prevent Duty and Online Safety training.
