Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils in their learning, both in groups and individually
  • Promote a safe, positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Assist with behaviour management and emotional well-being
  • Prepare learning resources and maintain classroom organisation
  • Lead small group teaching and interventions (depending on experience)
  • Contribute to whole-school activities and initiatives
  • Uphold safeguarding and child protection policies

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Minimum 6 months experience in a school setting (voluntary experience considered)
  • GCSE Grade C or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management strategies
  • Commitment to the school’s ethos and values

Desirable:

  • Qualifications in child development, safeguarding, Prevent, or First Aid
  • Good ICT skills
  • A sense of humour and creative problem-solving skills
  • Confidence when leading larger groups of pupils using initiative under the direction of the class teacher
