About the role
Broom Barns Primary School is a 1 form entry school who is looking to recruit two part time, term time only Cleaners.
We are looking to appoint an honest, reliable and hardworking cleaner to join our Premises Team. You will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness within classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets and communal areas. This will include duties such as vacuuming and mopping floors, dusting and polishing furniture, emptying bins, cleaning toilets and sinks. You will report to the Caretaker.
We have two vacancies, the hours are either before school 7.00-9.00am or after school 3.30-5.30pm – both vacancies are 2 hour per day (10 hours per week), Monday to Friday with the opportunity for occasional holiday cleaning if required - (pro rata) H2.1 pay scale for 43.6 weeks per year (term time).The salary quoted £24,796 to £25,583) is the full time equivalent (FTE= 37 hours per week/52 weeks per year).
Key responsibilities
Undertake cleaning of allocated areas in line with specified standards and as directed.
Operate / use domestic and industrial cleaning equipment and materials, following appropriate training.
Store allocated equipment and materials safely and securely.
Perform duties in line with health and safety regulations (COSHH) and take action where hazards are identified, report serious hazards to line manager immediately.
Collect and dispose of waste.
Refill and replace soap, towels and other materials.
We are looking for:
Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
Experience with working in a non-domestic environment as a cleaner is advantageous.
Reliability.
Ability to act on own initiative, dealing with any unexpected problems that arise

The salary quoted is the full time equivalent (FTE= 37 hours per week/52 weeks per year) and dependant on qualifications and experience.
