Cover Manager (including cover supervision duties)

Start date: July 2024

Full time, 37.5 hours per week 7.00am – 3.30pm term time (38 weeks per year)

H9 £31,652.00 inclusive per annum (actual salary for term time only)

 

Monk’s Walk is a high performing, oversubscribed school, seeking to appoint a Cover Manager responsible for organising cover for absent teaching staff.

Duties will include leading and supporting a small team of Cover Supervisors and regular supply staff to ensure that daily cover is delivered effectively and efficiently; the accurate and timely recording and reporting of staff absence and liaison with external supply agencies; and the delivery of set learning activities to students. Good communication skills and time management are essential as are excellent IT skills, particularly SIMS and Excel.

The successful candidate will ideally have some prior experience of managing people. A knowledge and understanding of the education sector or experience of working within a school environment would also be desirable.

This role will also include cover supervisor duties.
