Deputy Headteacher & SENCo (Part Time)
Start Date: September 2025
Location: Tenterfield Nursery School, Welwyn
Contract: 2–3 days per week | Fixed term until August 2027 (with the potential to extend)
Salary: Leadership Scale L1–L3 (depending on experience)

As Our Deputy Head & SENCo, You Will:

Be a trusted member of our Senior Leadership Team, helping to shape our vision and support the whole staff team

Lead on SEND provision, making sure every child’s needs are met with care, dignity, and creativity

Support, mentor and guide our newly qualified SENCo

Step in when the Headteacher is away to ensure everything runs smoothly

Be a calm, supportive presence for children, families, and staff

Help create a space where everyone belongs and all children can shine
