About the role

Do you have experience supporting early years practitioners in implementing best practices to improve children's outcomes?

If so, we are looking to recruit a District Early Years Adviser to empower and inspire early years practioners and practice.

The District Early Years adviser role has oversight of a group of schools across a geographical location and/or Trust. They take responsibility for planning programmes of support, effectively using local and national data to inform service design to meet schools’ changing needs. They work closely with our lead advisers to ensure that support for schools locally is maximised and that both contracted and traded services impact positively on outcomes for all children.

This role demands a strong background in EYFS leadership and practice, coupled with a passion for fostering creativity and innovation in Early Years provision and quality. You will collaborate closely with Head teachers and EYFS leaders across the sector, delivering bespoke training, expert advice, and dedicated support. Flexibility and self-motivation are key, as the role involves travel to schools within our network across Hertfordshire and neighbouring counties.

Our ‘working from anywhere’ approach provides colleagues the opportunity to work flexibly in line with their role requirements. This consists of working on-site across various schools and settings, some remote working and, if desired up to 2 days per week in our Head Office in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.

The ability to reach different locations by car will be essential for this role. If you drive, then a full driving licence and appropriate car insurance will be required. As there is a home working element to this role, you will need to ensure you are equipped for home working.
