- Position: Early Years Inclusion Practitioner, Full Time 8.45am - 4.00pm 
- Location: Carter’s Sunflowers CIC, Alban house, Brownfields, AL7 1AY
- Age Group: 2-5 years

At Carter’s Sunflowers, we are a specialist nursery dedicated to providing a supportive and enriching environment for autistic children. We are looking for a fun, engaging, patient, and adaptable individual to take on a early years educator role, supporting a small group of children alongside a dedicated team.

About the Role

As a Level 3 practitioner, you will play a key role in creating a safe, engaging and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports every child to reach their full potential. Working within small groups and high staff-to-child ratios, you will support children with communication, social interaction, sensory processing, emotional regulation and independence skills through play-based learning and evidence-informed practice.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals to deliver personalised support, contribute to observations and assessments, and help implement individual learning and development plans. Practitioners are expected to embrace a child-centred approach, using strategies such as total communication, visual supports, intensive interaction, sensory-based learning and structured teaching approaches.

What We’re Looking For

We need someone who:

  • Has a genuine passion for working with autistic children.

  • Has a Level 3 EYE qualification and experience in early years education.

  • Is adaptable, patient, and enthusiastic.

  • Can work collaboratively with colleagues and families to support each child’s development.

  • Is eager to learn—specialist training will be provided on all our approaches.
