About the role
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our committed team. The post would suit someone with previous experience in a school or day nursery who wishes to nurture the individual strengths and character of our pupils.
The position is part-time, approximately 22.5 hours per week, currently expected to be worked across three days: Wednesday and Friday, 8.00am-4.00pm, and Thursday, 09.30am-5.30pm. The Thursday shift will include supporting our After School Club provision which runs until 6:00pm. There may be opportunities to increase or vary these hours as part of the annual staffing cycle.
In addition, we offer up to eight weeks of wraparound care through our internal Holiday Club provision, which, should you choose to participate, provides an opportunity to supplement your annual salary.
The successful candidate will be expected to show initiative in promoting existing activities as well as encouraging new ideas. They will work as part of the teaching team in setting, nurturing, promoting and maintaining a very high standard of behaviour and mutual respect throughout the school, ensuring that all staff play an active role in the pursuit of these standards.
We are seeking someone with a holistic and caring approach to young children who is consistent in their practice and works well as part of the wider Early Years team.
It is essential that the successful candidate holds a minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
