About the role
Bridgewater is a warm and friendly school. We are ambitious, creative, forward-thinking and currently looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our supportive, friendly and hardworking team.
We are looking to appoint a friendly, caring, Teaching Assistant to join our Reception Team. The successful candidate will support children's learning both in and out of the classroom. We are looking for people who wish to become a part of our school team and contribute to the success of the school as a whole.
Candidates will need to have a caring and nurturing approach to understanding the needs of children, excellent communication and enjoy being part of a team. Literacy and numeracy skills are required as well as some knowledge of phonics. A level 3 early years practitioner (EYP) qualification would be an advantage, as would a good understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development. You will be working in partnership with the Early Years class teachers and will be expected to contribute towards observation, planning and assessment. You will have an acute awareness of the Key Worker system and be confident to use your own initiative, and demonstrate flexibility. Bridgewater is passionate about outside learning whatever the weather and is also a Forest School.

The vacancy is for full school days, 8.00am - 3.15pm or 8.15am - 3.30pm, term time only and for 4 days a week. (Tuesday - Friday)
