Bonneygrove & Millbrook Primary School Federation is seeking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join our committed and nurturing team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a vibrant Early Years setting where children are encouraged to become confident, curious and independent learners. We are looking for a passionate practitioner who understands the importance of providing high-quality early education and who is committed to helping every child achieve their full potential.
Working closely with the EYFS Class Teacher and wider school team, you will play a key role in supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing through engaging, child-centred experiences both indoors and outdoors.
We are looking for someone who:
Has recent experience working within an EYFS setting.
Holds a relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
Has a secure understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development.
Can support high-quality teaching and learning through purposeful play and adult-led activities.
Is confident in observing, assessing and recording children's progress.
Can build positive, caring relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
Has high expectations of behaviour, achievement and inclusion.
Is proactive, flexible and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Job Description
Post: Experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant
Purpose of the Role
To work under the direction of the EYFS Class Teacher and Senior Leaders to support children's learning, development, wellbeing and inclusion in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework, ensuring every child is supported to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Supporting Teaching and Learning
Support the delivery of engaging, stimulating and inclusive learning activities.
Work with individuals, small groups and occasionally whole-class groups.
Promote learning through purposeful play and high-quality interactions.
Prepare and maintain learning resources and classroom displays.
Encourage children's independence, confidence and resilience.
Support children in developing communication, language, literacy and numeracy skills.
Assist in promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
Contribute to creating a safe, stimulating and welcoming learning environment.
Assessment and Observation
Observe children's learning and development.
Record observations accurately using agreed assessment systems.
Contribute to children's learning journeys and assessment records.
Share observations with teachers and parents where appropriate.
Help identify children requiring additional support and contribute to intervention programmes.
Supporting Children's Wellbeing
Foster warm, positive relationships with children.
Support children's personal, social and emotional development.
Promote good hygiene, healthy lifestyles and independence.
Assist with personal care where required.
Supervise children during indoor and outdoor learning, lunchtimes and educational visits as required.
Inclusion and SEND
Support children with additional educational needs, disabilities or medical needs.
Implement strategies identified within Individual Education Plans (IEPs), EHCPs or support plans.
Liaise with teachers and external professionals where appropriate.
Promote equality, diversity and inclusion for all children.
Partnership with Parents
Build positive relationships with families.
Contribute to home-school communication.
Support transition arrangements into and through the Early Years setting.
Promote parental engagement in children's learning.
General Responsibilities
Attend training and professional development.
Contribute to the wider life of the school and federation.

Undertake other reasonable duties as directed by the Headteacher.
