About the role
We are a small rural school of nursery to year 6 children, with a friendly staff team and local community and are looking to recruit an experienced teaching assistant, primarily to work with KS2 children.
This is a varied role focusing on delivering full class support whilst including some 1:1, EHCP and small group interventions. Duties would also include providing continued support during lunchtimes, both inside and out.
The successful candidate must have experience of supporting KS2 and ideally special educational needs within a primary school, be conscientious, able to use their own initiative and prepared to support all our children in their areas of learning. In addition, a flexible approach to the working day, being keen to contribute and open to adjusting daily tasks and timetables is essential.
This is a 3-day week part time position, Wednesday to Friday, 8.30 till 3.30pm, with half an hour for lunch. The position is term time only and is a Fixed Term contract until July 2027, when available funding will be reviewed. The salary is in the range of £24,796 to £25,583 pro-rata depending on experience. The start date would be 2nd September 2026, once all safeguarding checks have been completed.
