The Federation of Thundridge and Ponsbourne St Mary’s Church of England Schools
We are looking for a new member to join the governing board of our federation, established in February 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of our two village schools.
The full board meets half termly, with additional opportunities to contribute through our Finance and Resources and Curriculum Committees.
New governors will receive an induction, ongoing training and can be offered mentoring from our experienced, friendly board. No previous governing experience is required — we welcome applications from people with a range of backgrounds, skills and experiences.
School governors play a vital strategic role in supporting and challenging school leaders, helping to set the vision and direction of the federation, overseeing financial performance and ensuring accountability.
