About the role
We are looking to appoint a reliable and capable Finance Administrator to join our friendly team at Spellbrook C of E Primary School. This important role will be line managed by the Headteacher and will involve supporting the management of the school's finance, administrative and personnel functions.
The salary and grade offered to the successful applicant will depend on skills and experience. We are seeking candidates within the H5-H6 pay range. The post is advertised as 15 hours per week, term time plus one week in the holidays. There may be an opportunity in the future to increase both the pay grade and responsibilities should more financial management functions be brought in-house from HFL.
We envisage the role being worked across five mornings per week, although we would be happy to discuss alternative arrangements with interested candidates. Please contact the school if you would like to discuss the role further.
Applicants would ideally have a background in accountancy, finance or a related field. In addition, you will need excellent interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and have the ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines. It is essential that you have strong literacy, numeracy and IT skills, together with a keen eye for detail.
The post holder will work closely with the Headteacher, senior leaders and the Governing Body.
Visits to the school are warmly welcomed. Applicants are required to complete the Hertfordshire County Council application form, taking the person specification into consideration.
For further information, to arrange a visit, or to discuss the role, please contact the school office and ask to speak to Carly Cousins on 01279 723204.
Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and shortlisted candidates will be asked to share any relevant criminal history prior to interview.
The successful applicant will also be subject to enhanced DBS and barred list checks in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education.
