About the role
Situated in the centre of Harpenden, St Hilda's School is a high-achieving, caring and dynamic school with a committed staff team and hardworking, motivated pupils.
We are seeking to recruit an inspirational teacher of class music with strong keyboard, vocal and instrumental skills. St Hilda's has a very strong tradition of high standards in music, and we would be delighted to welcome applications from those currently working in the maintained or independent sectors and from experienced primary or secondary teachers. Boundless enthusiasm, a commitment to working hard and clear evidence that you are committed to developing music at our school are vital, as is an understanding and empathy with the ethos and spirit of independent education where subject specialist teaching is provided.
The successful applicant will be a passionate and dynamic music teacher who is committed to the development of music who can make a key contribution both to class music teaching and to the extra-curricular musical life of the school. They should also have the experience, ability and drive to lead the department, be an adaptable musician and professional colleague, with strong communication and team working skills.
