Following the successful career progression of our current school leader, Kimpton Primary School is seeking an inspirational Headteacher whose leadership, expertise and passion will continue to drive and shape the school’s future in line with our shared vision and values. WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN EXCEPTIONAL LEADER WHO: 

  • values the whole child and will place their nurture, wellbeing and sense of belonging at the heart of a shared vision for the school 

  • demonstrates complete commitment to safeguarding, and has the capacity to robustly review, monitor and continually prioritise safeguarding systems and culture 

  • will skilfully monitor and evaluate standards of progress, attainment, learning and teaching, and is able to create clear and imaginative action plans to ensure that all children reach their highest potential  

  • provides strategic leadership and strong organisational management, identifying and mitigating both short- and long-term risks to the success of the school and building on people, process, finance, premises and technology management 

  • will continue to develop devolved and sustainable leadership across the school and will have excellent people management skills 

  • has a strong commitment to the principles of inclusion, equality of opportunity and diversity 

  • is approachable and engaging to all stakeholders and will encourage and strengthen the role of the school in the village community 

  • is confident in using social media and creative modes of communication to promote the school and the experience of its learners to all relevant stakeholders

Applications are invited from both serving and aspiring headteachers. This post is full-time, although we may consider appointing a part-time headteacher if the appointed leader could work with governors to shape a clear plan as to how suitable cover might be achieved in their absence.
