HIGHER LEVEL TEACHING ASSISTANT

H5 (Point 9-14)

Actual Salary Range £23,663.00 - £25,574.51 (Inclusive of Fringe) Term Time only

 

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed HLTA to work in the Learning Plus (Student Support) area of our school and support students in the classroom.

 

You will play a central role in the school, working with the SEND Department, to ensure that all of our students are supported in achieving their full potential. The successful candidate will deliver small group lessons in our Learning Plus centre on a daily basis, providing high quality academic support for students in this area and supporting students within the classroom. You will work with some students individually, as well as tutoring small groups of targeted students in literacy, numeracy and other core skills (for example, reading, spelling, handwriting, etc.) to support them in maximising their potential in their curriculum lessons.

 

You will have excellent inter-personal and communication skills, plus the ability to quickly establish trust and build mutually respectful relationships with young adults. You will be highly organised and able to explain concepts and teach skills in a clear and concise way. Experience of working with children and young people, particularly in a school environment, would be essential.
