Parkgate Junior School is is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and ambitious team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner who is passionate about supporting children of all abilities, confident in leading whole-class learning, and committed to helping every pupil flourish academically, socially and emotionally.As a HLTA, you will work closely with teachers to support teaching and learning across the school, deliver planned lessons in a teacher's absence, provide targeted interventions, and help create a learning environment where every child feels valued, included and inspired to succeed. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their experience in education within a supportive and inclusive school environment.

The Successful Candidate Will:

• Have experience supporting teaching and learning in a primary school setting.

• Be confident delivering lessons and managing a classroom in a teacher's absence.

• Be passionate about supporting children of all abilities and backgrounds.

• Be committed to promoting inclusion, equality and safeguarding.

• Consistently encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.

• Plan and deliver engaging learning activities.

• Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

• Be comfortable working with children in KS2, including those with additional and complex needs.

• Demonstrate enthusiasm, flexibility and a commitment to professional growth.

The role is for 5 days per week, 8:50am to 3:20pm with a 30 minute unpaid break at lunchtime, term time only.  This role will include playground supervision during morning break and at lunch time. Parkgate Junior School is committed to the safeguarding of all its students, you will be expected to complete a self-disclosure form if you are called for an interview.  All appointments are subject to an Enhanced DBS and social media check plus satisfactory references. Parkgate Junior is a two form entry Junior school situated in North Watford. We receive the majority of our pupils from Parkgate Infant School which is located close by. The teaching accommodation comprises of large classrooms positioned over two floors. The school is well resourced with a very supportive staff group, who together with Governors and Parents work hard to ensure our pupils are given a wide variety educational opportunities.
