Contract type: Full-Time, 52 weeks, Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week: 08:00 to 16:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 to -15:30

Friday (including a 30 minute unpaid lunch break)

Salary: H3 pt 5 to H3 pt 6 £24,790 to £25,183 plus £1,013 fringe allowance

Actual Salary: £25,803 to £26,196 pa incl. Fringe

Rickmansworth School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated IT Technician to join our dynamic and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and developing the School’s IT infrastructure, ensuring staff and students have the technology and support they need to succeed.

As an IT Technician, you will provide vital day-to-day technical support across the School, assist in the management of hardware and software systems and contribute to the smooth running of lessons and administrative functions. You will be central to supporting a modern learning environment, helping to resolve issues promptly and ensuring that technology enhances teaching and learning from Key Stage 3 through to Sixth Form.

About the IT Department:

The IT department is a dedicated and hardworking team of three, managing all aspects of IT entirely in-house. Well equipped with modern tools and technologies, they support a dynamic environment that includes a blend of on-premise and cloud-based systems. Selection Process:

We are required for only shortlisted candidates to conduct online searches about an applicant as part of our shortlisting process in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance 2024 in order to identify any incidents or concerns which are publicly available online. On signing the declaration on application you will be agreeing to the acknowledgement that such searches will be conducted as part of the shortlisting process.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to the school where there will be a number of related tasks, details of which will be discussed on the day. Interviews will be held with the Headteacher and possibly another member of SLT. There will also be a tour of the school estate and this may be conducted by other members of the school community.
