KS2 Teaching & Learning Assistant
Salary range: between 24796 and 25989
Pay details: H2/H3 - dependant on qualifications
Start date: ASAP
The headteacher and governors are seeking to appoint a KS2 Teaching & Learning Assistant. You will work as part of a team of TLAs. You will be part of a rota working as whole class support or with a child who may have an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) and have specific learning needs (eg. Autism) The role will be well supported by the Deputy Head and the school's SENCo and external agencies. As this contract is linked to exceptional needs funding, the post is offered on a fixed-term basis until July 2026 (there is a good chance that an extension will be offered in Summer 26). We are looking for someone who:
- Has good communication skills
- GCSE or equivalent passes in English and Maths
- Likes children and will help them to grow and learn
- Is able to supervise and support a child with communication and social difficulties throughout the school day
- Has patience and empathy
- Presents clear and consistent boundaries and support
- Has a positive outlook and is able to face situations calmly
- Has resilience and flexibility

Although not essential, experience of working with children with special educational needs would be a significant advantage.
