About the role
Come Join Our Outstanding Nursery Team!
Are you passionate about Early Years education? Do you believe learning should be filled with laughter, curiosity, and the occasional dinosaur tea party? If so, Tenterfield Nursery School might just be your perfect next step!
We’re excited to be recruiting an exceptional Lead Early Years Teacher to join our warm and welcoming team from Sept 2025 on a part time (2 days a week) fixed-term basis until August 2027 (with potential for extension). This is a unique opportunity to combine classroom excellence with leadership responsibility in a nurturing, child-centred environment.

Be a vital part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT)

-
Mentor Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and support apprentices in their development
-
Lead planning, assessment, and curriculum delivery in line with the EYFS Framework and Tenterfield’s bespoke approach
-
Take on key leadership responsibilities, such as curriculum, assessment, or family engagement, as delegated by the Headteacher
-
Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, supporting the wellbeing of all children
-
Create a warm, stimulating environment that promotes children's curiosity, independence, and joy in learning
-
Drive continuous improvement, working closely with the Headteacher to realise our strategic vision
-

A beautiful, purpose-built Early Years environment — spacious, well-equipped, and made for play
-
Supportive, passionate colleagues who love what they do
-
Happy, inquisitive children who are ready to learn and love to explore
We're Looking for Someone Who:
-
Has a real passion for Early Years and understands the magic of early childhood learning
-
Loves outdoor learning and knows the world beyond the classroom is full of opportunity
-
Can see every moment — snack time, story time, muddy puddles — as a chance to inspire young minds
-
Is confident working within a strong team and can lead with kindness and creativity
What the Children Would Like:
-
Someone who smiles a lot
-
Will play, listen, and show them how things work in a kind, calm way
-
Can tell the best stories, plays in the rain, and can make a great cup of tea in the home corner!
