Learning Mentor

About the role

At Abbots Langley School we are proud of our pupils, staff and community. We are a two form entry school. We are looking to recruit a Learning Mentor to provide a holistic approach to the welfare of pupils and their families.

We are looking for candidates who enjoy working with children and are interested in their development. You will work as part of the Inclusion Team to support our pupils and families. The role will require working directly with children individually and in groups to provide practical support to help pupils engage in school life. You will also liaise with external agencies.

Training will be provided and there are many opportunities for progression. Previous experience of working with children is desirable.

The hours are 8.30am to 3.15pm

We have large school grounds, including a forest area. As a school we promote the Growth Mindset and use MindUP across all classes to ensure our pupils' wellbeing. 

All of our support staff work collaboratively, under the guidance of our Senco and our Deputy Headteachers. Opportunities are provided for support staff to work together and share good practice.
