Early Years Practitioner (37 hours per week)

We are seeking an experienced Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly and highly regarded Early Years team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a nurturing, inclusive and supportive school where every child is encouraged to thrive.

Tannery Drift First School is a popular two-form entry school in the market town of Royston, North Hertfordshire, catering for children from Nursery to Year 4. We are proud of our welcoming community, strong family relationships and commitment to providing the very best start for our children.

The role involves supporting learning and development within our Early Years provision, working closely with colleagues to ensure all children receive the support they need to succeed. There is a significant inclusion aspect to the role, including supporting small groups of children with additional needs. Personal care, including nappy changing and toileting support, will also form part of the daily routine.

This position is term time only, plus INSET days, and is offered initially on a fixed-term contract. A Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics is essential. Experience of working in a school or childcare setting is desirable, as is an Early Years qualification.
