About the role
Do you believe that all children deserve the opportunity to flourish at school? Could you make a difference in a child’s life as they start their educational journey, supporting access to and inclusion in all areas of the curriculum and nursery life?
We are looking for a cheerful and energetic person to work within our Nursery as a Learning Support Assistant. This involves working with individual and small groups of children to support their learning through play and to develop their skills and independence. Previous experience of working in a nursery or preschool setting is desirable, as is a Level 2 Early Years Childcare Qualification. You will need to be naturally empathetic and have a determination to help children succeed.
This is a permanent contract for 34.75 hours/week, term time only. The hours are 8:00am-4.15pm on Monday and 8:00am-3.15pm Tuesday to Friday.
You will be joining a team of highly qualified, supportive and experienced Teachers and Early Years Practitioners and working within a creative environment that seeks to bring out curiosity in all children. We value new ideas and fresh thinking and we were rated ‘Outstanding’ at our most recent Ofsted visit in February 2024. We are very proud of our Nursery and would encourage you to come to take a look around.
All staff are valued and there will be opportunities for CPD within the role. All staff have an annual wellbeing day in addition to school holidays and are able to access health and wellbeing support through Education Mutual.
