Level 3 Early Years Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Early Years Educator to join our welcoming pre-school team in the Old Town, Stevenage. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young children’s learning, development, and well-being in a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment.

As a key member of our team, you will support the delivery of high-quality early years education and care for children aged 2 to 5 years, following the EYFS curriculum and achieving desirable learning outcomes. You will also act as a key worker, observing, assessing, and celebrating children’s progress, and building strong partnerships with their parents and carers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the pre-school is a safe and welcoming environment for children, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and organisation

  • Planning and delivering stimulating activities, taking the lead where required

  • Supporting children’s personal, emotional, and social development, including self-care and independence

  • Maintaining accurate records, including daily registers, learning journals, accident/incident logs, and GDPR-compliant documentation

  • Supporting inclusion and recognising additional needs, liaising with the SENCO and external professionals where required

  • Preparing snacks and ensuring dietary, allergy, and cultural requirements are met

  • Working closely with colleagues, parents, and management to provide consistent and high-quality care

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Holds a Level 3 Early Years qualification

  • Has at least two years’ experience working with children aged 9 m to 5 years

  • Demonstrates strong practical childcare and play work skills

  • Communicates effectively and works collaboratively with children, parents, and colleagues

  • Understands and is committed to safeguarding, inclusion, and equal opportunities

  • Maintains confidentiality and adheres to GDPR policies

  • Is committed to delivering high-quality Early Years education and care

Desirable:

  • Experience working with children with additional needs

  • Current First Aid qualification

  • Current Basic Food Hygiene certificate
