About the role
Level 3 Early Years Educator
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Early Years Educator to join our welcoming pre-school team in the Old Town, Stevenage. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young children’s learning, development, and well-being in a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment.
As a key member of our team, you will support the delivery of high-quality early years education and care for children aged 2 to 5 years, following the EYFS curriculum and achieving desirable learning outcomes. You will also act as a key worker, observing, assessing, and celebrating children’s progress, and building strong partnerships with their parents and carers.
Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring the pre-school is a safe and welcoming environment for children, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and organisation
Planning and delivering stimulating activities, taking the lead where required
Supporting children’s personal, emotional, and social development, including self-care and independence
Maintaining accurate records, including daily registers, learning journals, accident/incident logs, and GDPR-compliant documentation
Supporting inclusion and recognising additional needs, liaising with the SENCO and external professionals where required
Preparing snacks and ensuring dietary, allergy, and cultural requirements are met
Working closely with colleagues, parents, and management to provide consistent and high-quality care
This role is ideal for someone who:
Holds a Level 3 Early Years qualification
Has at least two years’ experience working with children aged 9 m to 5 years
Demonstrates strong practical childcare and play work skills
Communicates effectively and works collaboratively with children, parents, and colleagues
Understands and is committed to safeguarding, inclusion, and equal opportunities
Maintains confidentiality and adheres to GDPR policies
Is committed to delivering high-quality Early Years education and care
Desirable:
Experience working with children with additional needs
Current First Aid qualification
Current Basic Food Hygiene certificate
