Level 3 Early Years Educator
Salary: £13,326 annual
Start date: 1st November 2026

Fixed-term until: Thursday 22nd July 2027 (option to continue may be possible)

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly team. The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting children's learning and development, creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.As a Key Worker, you will build strong relationships with your allocated children and their families, ensuring each child's individual needs are understood and supported. You will be responsible for observing, assessing, and planning for children's learning in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), promoting positive outcomes for every child.A strong understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and inclusive practice is essential. You will work collaboratively with families, colleagues, and external professionals to ensure children with additional needs receive the support they require and are fully included in all aspects of pre-school life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and education in accordance with the EYFS framework.

  • Act as a Key Worker, building secure relationships with children and maintaining effective partnerships with parents and carers.

  • Observe, assess, and plan engaging activities that support each child's individual learning and development.

  • Maintain accurate learning records and contribute to children's progress reviews.

  • Support children's personal, social, emotional, and physical development through meaningful play experiences.

  • Promote an inclusive environment where every child feels valued, respected, and supported.

  • Promote positive behaviour using consistent and nurturing approaches.

  • Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare requirements are met at all times.

  • Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and stimulating learning environment.

  • Work effectively as part of a team, contributing ideas and supporting colleagues.

  • Attend staff meetings, training, and continuous professional development opportunities.

Essential Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare (or equivalent).

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the EYFS statutory framework.

  • Experience working with children aged 0–5 years.

  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection responsibilities.

  • Strong understanding of SEND legislation, inclusive practice, and strategies to support children with additional needs.

  • Experience or confidence in working collaboratively with parents, carers, and external professionals.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young children.
