Lunchtime Play Worker

Apply for this job

About the role

Hollybush Primary School is looking for a play worker to join our friendly lunchtime play team.

Our School follows the Opal Play Scheme. Do you like the sound of helping our children build sandcastles in our giant sandpit, design lego buildings, make mud pies or create forts iout of loose parts?

An Opal (Outdoor Play and Learning) play team member's job is to facilitate engaging and safe lunchtime play experiences for children. This includes ensuring a stimulating outdoor environment, supporting children in the dining hall, and coordinating play activities.

The successful candidate should be able to interact with children during play and have excellent communication skills. You should be able to use your own initiative and also be able to work as part of a team to deliver effective activities for pupils.

We recognise that play especially outdoor play is at the heart of healthy, full development for children. The role of the playworker is to support all children and young people in the creation of a space in which they can play.

If you would like the opportunity to visit our wonderful school, please contact Mrs Charley Tilbury in the office.
