Maths teacher

About the role

We are an alternative provision provider in St Albans for Hertfordshire County council. 

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and dedicated Maths Teacher with a specialisation in Special Educational Needs (SEN) to join our centre. 

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3, 4, and potentially Key Stage 5, depending on experience and preference. You will encourage a love for mathematics, develop students’ problem-solving skills, and foster critical thinking. 

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Holds a relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).

• Has a strong background in mathematics and a passion for the subject.

• Has experience teaching maths to secondary school students (KS3/KS4, and ideally KS5).

• Demonstrates a clear understanding of the current curriculum and GCSE requirements.

• Is able to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.

• Is committed to continuous professional development.

• Possesses excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Can work effectively within a team and contribute to the school’s culture.
