Are you passionate about working with children and helping them to thrive? We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Midday Supervisor Assistant to join our friendly team at Malvern Way Infant & Nursery School.
This important role helps to ensure our children enjoy a safe, happy and positive lunchtime experience. You will supervise and support pupils in the dining hall and playground, encouraging independence, resilience, good manners and positive behaviour in line with our school values.
Hours
Monday- Friday 11.15 am- 13.15pm
The Role
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing and clearing the dining hall before and after lunch.
Supervising pupils while they eat, promoting good social skills and healthy eating habits.
Supporting children during playtimes and ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
Encouraging positive behaviour and following the school's behaviour and safeguarding procedures.
Setting out and storing equipment.
Operating tills and processing meal payments where required.
Providing basic first aid during the lunch period.
Supporting children with a range of needs and helping all pupils feel included.

Is caring, patient and sensitive to children's needs.
Communicates effectively with pupils and colleagues.
Works well as part of a team and uses their initiative.
Understands the importance of safeguarding and child welfare.
Shares our school ethos, vision and values.
Knowledge or experience of health and safety, first aid, safeguarding, manual handling or school-based work would be advantageous, although training can be provided for the right candidate.
