About the role
We are seeking a new office manager for our vibrant, friendly, happy, village school. Our staff would like a positive, cheerful team player, our parents would like someone who is welcoming, helpful, and approachable, and our children would like someone kind and friendly – who can sort out lost sweatshirts, missing lunchboxes and grazed knees with ease. This is a varied and rewarding role that plays a key part in the day-to-day running of the school, supporting pupils, staff, parents and visitors.
The successful candidate will:
Oversee pupil admission and attendance
Manage school meal administration
Coordinate communication with parents and external agencies
Support the School Business Manager with financial administration
Ensure the school office provides a welcoming, professional and efficient service to all
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with school policies and procedures
We are looking for someone who:
Has excellent organisational and administrative skills
Can prioritise a varied workload and work calmly under pressure
Has strong IT skills and experience of management information systems (MIS)
Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
Is proactive and professional
Has experience working within a school environment (desirable)
