OPAL Play Coordinator The staff and pupils at Four Swannes School are excited to announce that we will shortly begin our journey with OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning). We are therefore looking for a Play Coordinator to join our team at this exciting time. This role will give someone a brilliant opportunity to become involved in the shaping of valuable, positive and enriching play experiences for all our pupils during play and lunchtimes. We would like to work with someone whose primary role is to lead the day-to-day running of lunchtimes, in partnership with the OPAL curricular lead, where the OPAL approach is implemented. As our OPAL Play Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

• Managing the team of Play Leaders
• Liaising with the Curricular Lead for Play (a member of teaching staff)
• Lead on the setting up, organisation and tidying away of resources for the children to use daily
• Maintain, source and replenish resources
• Provide support and training for other school staff
• Lead support and supervise the promotion of positive and creative play at lunchtime in line with the opal practice and ethos

This is a part-time role and the working hours will be 10 hours a week from 11:30-1:30, Monday to Friday.

• Experience of, or a background in play-work would be beneficial but not essential.
• Enthusiasm and commitment to the role.
