About the role

We are keen to recruit an enthusiastic, flexible, reliable and caring person to join our dedicated and professional staff team. We are looking for a part-time 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant who is committed to supporting children's learning and progress. The successful applicant will work alongside the class teacher to support teaching and learning opportunities for a pupil/small group of pupils with additional needs, as well as carry out MSA (Midday Supervisory Assistant) duties.

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant you will be expected to build successful, positive relationships with pupils, supporting the class teacher and SENCO. The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working in a school or with children with SEND, but for the right candidate, full training is available.

The working hours are from 8:40am to 1:00 pm Monday to Friday, term time only. You will be an integral part of a friendly and committed team of teachers, teaching assistants and practitioners and you must be able to work using your own initiative. Applicants should ideally have Maths and English GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above, or relevant experience of working with children with SEN.
