PE TECHNICIAN required for September 2026
Contract type Fixed term - September 2026 to July 2027
Hours of work: 8.30am to 3.30pm with a 30-minute lunch break plus additional hours to provide assistance with after school clubs and sporting events
Days of work: Monday to Friday - Term time only
Salary: £10.85 to £12.71 per hour depending on age
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic PE Technician to support the delivery of high-quality physical education and sports provision across the school. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical, on‑the‑job experience working with young people for someone with a strong passion for sport.

Good organisational and time management skills
A proactive and flexible approach to work
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Awareness of health and safety requirements (training can be provided)
Ability to provide administrative support with departmental organisation

Main areas of responsibility
Prepare and organise equipment, set up lesson resources and help teachers get ready for practical activities
Maintain, inspect, and safely store PE equipment
Help run and support extracurricular clubs, sports sessions and activities before, during and after school
Help organise fixtures, competitions, and sports days
The school has been graded outstanding by Ofsted. The school was inspected by Ofsted in the June of 2024 and found to be ‘Outstanding’ in every category. The inspectors described the school as a “highly happy and purposeful place to be” and that “pupils treat each other with the utmost tolerance and respect”. They also referred to the “exceptional work” pupils produce and the “wealth of wider opportunities that promote personal development.”
