Contract type: Term time plus 5 INSET/Additional Days, Permanent

Hours: Part time 25 hours per week: Monday - Friday

(To include working flexibly at times to support School productions, events, etc.)

Salary: H4 pt 6 to H4 pt 9 £25,183 to £26,409 plus £1,013 fringe allowance

Pro-rata - Actual Salary: £15,206.78 to £15,918.47 pa incl. Fringe

Rickmansworth School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Performing Arts Technician to join our supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to students' creative development and to inspire their passion for the performing arts.

As a Performing Arts Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality drama, music, and dance lessons, as well as school productions and events. You will provide technical assistance in lighting, sound, and stage management, ensuring that students and staff have the resources and support they need to succeed in both curricular and extra-curricular activities.

You will be at the heart of our Performing Arts department, working closely with teaching staff to create a safe, engaging, and professional environment that enhances students’ learning experiences across Key Stages 3 to 5. Selection Process:

We are required for only shortlisted candidates to conduct online searches about an applicant as part of our shortlisting process in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance 2024 in order to identify any incidents or concerns which are publicly available online. On signing the declaration on application you will be agreeing to the acknowledgement that such searches will be conducted as part of the shortlisting process.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to the school where there will be a number of related tasks, details of which will be discussed on the day. Interviews will be held with the Headteacher and possibly another member of SLT. There will also be a tour of the school estate and this may be conducted by other members of the school community.
