Haileybury Turnford is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Reception & Medical Officer to join our busy team.
This is a varied and rewarding role, combining front-of-house reception, administration, safeguarding, student support and medical responsibilities. You will be an important first point of contact for students, parents, staff and visitors, helping to ensure that our school remains welcoming, safe and well organised.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:45am–12:30pm
23.75 hours per week | Term Time Only – 39 weeks
The role
Working closely with the Receptionist/Medical Team, you will:
Welcome visitors and provide a friendly, professional reception service
Answer telephone calls, emails and general enquiries
Manage visitor signing-in and signing-out procedures
Support the school’s security and safeguarding arrangements
Deal with general student enquiries and day-to-day matters
Maintain accurate student information on SIMS/ClassCharts
Support attendance procedures, including late arrivals and students leaving site
Maintain student health plans and medical records
Manage prescribed medicines and ensure appropriate authorisations are in place
Support students who become unwell and assist with medical emergencies
Maintain accident records and relevant medical documentation
Liaise with parents, staff, the school nurse and other healthcare professionals
Organise medical arrangements such as vaccinations and injections
Keep first aid equipment, medical lists and staff training records up to date
Support medical arrangements for school trips
Provide general administrative and clerical support to the school

A First Aid in the Workplace qualification, or a willingness to undertake the required training, is essential for the medical aspects of the role.
