School Business Manager
Pay details: M1
Start date: 7th December 2026
We are looking to recruit a dynamic and organised School Business Manager (SBM) to to join our friendly team at St John the Baptist CE VA Primary School, in the village of Great Amwell, working 15.5 hours a week (term time only).
We are a welcoming and inclusive school, founded on well-established Christian values, where pupils and staff alike are supported and encouraged to develop to the best of their potential. Our school is a place where everyone is included and valued.
We would love you to come and visit us and see how much you could influence and support our work. This is an exciting time to join the school as we develop our Leadership team with the appointment of a School Business Manager (SBM). Ideally you will have experience of working in a school office and may even have experience of working at SBM level in a school, leading and managing a team and overseeing functions such as Financial Management, HR, Governance, Premises, Administration and Health and Safety.
To help you deliver an excellent service in these areas, you will receive expert support from both within the school and from HFL Education. If you have experience in some of these areas and are ready to take the next step in your career, we would like to hear from you too. You may have similar experience in these career areas but not necessarily in schools. School Business Managers come from a wide range of backgrounds, so don’t hesitate to come and visit to find out more!We can you provide you with supportive colleagues, friendly pupils, a supportive governing body and an Employee Assistance programme.
