We are looking for an enthusiastic, nurturing and patient SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team, providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is caring, adaptable and able to use their initiative to make a real difference to children’s lives. You will need to be someone who builds positive relationships, celebrates small steps of progress and understands that every child learns in their own way.

Has a good understanding of SEND and individual learning needs
Can use their initiative and adapt their approach to meet the needs of individual pupils
Is a positive team player who works well with teachers and other professionals
Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Is committed to helping children develop both academically and emotionally
Has resilience, flexibility and a willingness to go the extra mile
Ideally, you will have experience of working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and an understanding of strategies that can support children with communication, sensory, social and emotional needs. This role is initially for one year, based in a Year 3 class.

31.25 hours a week / Monday to Friday 8.45 – 3.30
H1 or H2 - depending on experience

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and shortlisted candidates will be asked to share any relevant criminal history prior to interview.
The successful applicant will also be subject to enhanced DBS and barred list checks in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education.
