Job Title:               Part-Time SEN Teacher
Location:               Woodlands Primary School
Hours:                   4 hours per day (8.30 - 12.30)
Salary:                   Dependent on experience
Contract Type:      Part-Time, One year fixed term initially

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to a small group of children with special educational needs, supporting their individual development and academic progress.

This role involves planning engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and managing a small team of support staff to ensure each child receives the tailored support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach a small group of pupils with a range of special educational needs.

• Plan, deliver, and evaluate creative and personalised lessons.

• Assess pupil progress and adapt plans accordingly.

• Lead and manage a small team of support staff, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

• Create a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

• Work closely with our SENCO, parents, carers, and external professionals to support each child’s individual needs.

• Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports, EHCP reviews, and team meetings where needed.

Person Specification:

We are looking for someone who is:

• Enthusiastic about making a positive difference in the lives of children with SEN.

• Organised and efficient in planning and documentation.

• Resilient, with the ability to adapt and stay calm under pressure.

• Understanding of a range of SEN needs and strategies.

• Flexible and responsive to changing needs and priorities.

• Experienced in working with children with SEN.

• A qualified teacher.
