Position:       SEN Teaching Assistant – 35 hours per week - Part time/Term time only

Grade:           H3 – £26,427.00 – 26,847.00 (FTE) the salary quoted is the full time equivalent (FTE).  As this is a part-time, term time only position, the actual salary with be prorated

Contract:      Fixed Term  

Hours of Work: 8.00am – 3.30 pm Monday to Friday (30 min lunch break) term time only

Pro rata actual salary: £20,920.06 - £ 21,593.75

Start Date:    ASAP

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard working person with high expectations of themselves and others to join our school team as an SEN Teaching Assistant supporting across our EYFS and Key Stage 1 in breakfast club, classrooms and specially adapted spaces. 

We are looking for a teaching assistant who:

·          has experience of working with SEN children

·          has experience of therapeutic behaviour management and autism awareness

·          has good numeracy and literacy skills (GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths is essential)

·          has or is working towards a level 2 or 3 education-based diploma

·          has knowledge of the primary curriculum;

·          has high expectations of achievement and behaviour;

·          has good numeracy and literacy skills (GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths is essential)

·          can confidently communicate with parents, carers and class teachers; and

·          understands and embraces the school's ethos.
