At Malvern Way Infant and Nursery School, we are looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and flexible member of staff to join our friendly team.

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. We are looking for someone who holds a relevant Level 3 qualification, but would also welcome someone new to role or wishing to develop their skills further. This is a rewarding role supporting children across our outstanding nursery and infant school.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, the SENDCo and other professionals to help children access learning, develop confidence and achieve their full potential. The role will include a combination of:

  • Working 1:1 with specific children.

  • Supporting children with a range of SEND needs, including those with EHCPs.

  • Working alongside class teachers to promote inclusion and engagement in learning.

  • Supporting high-quality teaching and learning across EYFS and Key Stage 1 classrooms.

  • Helping children to develop their communication, social, emotional and independence skills.

  • Contributing to a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of working with young children, ideally within an educational setting.

  • Has an understanding of SEND and inclusive practice.

  • Builds positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.

  • Is patient, flexible and able to adapt support to meet individual needs.

  • Shares our commitment to ensuring every child feels valued, safe and successful.

Hours:

·         Monday to Friday, 8.45am – 3.30pm (8.30am once per week in order to attend a weekly meeting)

·         Part-time hours will be considered
