About the role
Are you passionate about inclusive education and making a real difference in the lives of children with SEND? Woodhall Primary School is seeking an experienced and dedicated SENCO to join our Senior Leadership Team.
About Us:
Woodhall Primary is a small (under 100 pupils), community-focused school in South Oxhey, with a strong family ethos. Our committed staff are highly experienced in supporting children with complex SEND, and always go the extra mile for our pupils. We have strong partnerships with parents and the wider community, working closely together to ensure every child thrives.
About the Role:
As SENCO, you’ll lead the strategic development of our SEND provision, ensuring pupils with high and complex needs receive the very best support. This is an exclusive SENCO role (no class teaching commitment), giving you the time and space to focus on making a real impact. You will line-manage our fantastic team of support staff and play a key part in our Senior Leadership Team, helping to shape the future of inclusivity at Woodhall.
You will work closely with our parents, provide expert guidance to colleagues, and sometimes hold challenging conversations to secure the best outcomes for children. You will also drive our strategic SEND planning and maintain links with a range of external agencies.
What We Offer:
A welcoming, family-feel school with a strong sense of community
A team of dedicated, caring staff highly-experienced in supporting children with SEND
Enthusiastic pupils who love learning and being part of the Woodhall Family
Opportunities for professional growth and development
A collaborative and forward-thinking Senior Leadership Team
If you would like to join a school with a great focus on creating an inclusive environment and where children are empowered to be their best, then Woodhall could be the school for you!
We would strongly recommend candidates visit our school prior to an application to appreciate the potential of this opportunity and allow us to answer any questions you may have. Interested candidates should contact Michelle Lake, Headteacher, via the school office [email protected] to arrange a visit to the school.
Woodhall Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All appointments will be subject to satisfactory completion of safeguarding checks. We give high priority to promoting diversity throughout the school.
