SEND Link Worker
Haileybury Turnford, Cheshunt
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and committed practitioner to join us in supporting students with SEND in our growing SEND department at Haileybury Turnford.
This is a busy and varied role, which includes oversight of a SEND year cohort, providing home/school liaison, in-class support and providing small group/1:1 interventions across all year groups. Experience of the EYFS/KS1 curriculum and/or specialist provision would be beneficial.
The successful applicant will:
- have strong literacy and numeracy skills (Grade C/4 minimum in English & Maths)
- be dedicated to ensuring students’ needs are met
- be sympathetic to those with special educational needs and disabilities
- work alongside and support other professionals within the department and school
- have good administrative skills and be confident in the use of Excel & Word
- be able to work independently and be flexible
37 hours per week, 39 weeks a year
08:00 - 16:00 Mon – Thu
08:00 – 15:30 Fri
½ hour break during the day: time of which to be agreed within the department
Salary: H5 6-9 pro rata
Haileybury Turnford is an oversubscribed six form entry, 11-19 mixed academy that opened on 1st September 2015. Our new school launched a change in aspirations, drive and standards of achievement for our students and the wider community. Our students will leave Haileybury Turnford knowing they have had the opportunities to achieve their personal best and with qualifications that will ensure they progress confidently to college, university and employment.
