In January 2026, Swallow Dell Primary School opened a new Specialist Resource Provision for 12 children from the local area and across the primary age range - known now as The Link. The Link is housed in a brand new, purpose built building and meets the needs of children with speech, language, communication needs and autism, who don't need a special school, but they need additional support so that they can access learning in a mainstream school. Inclusion is of the highest importance at Swallow Dell and The Link forms an integral part of our forward thinking and ambitious school.
We are looking to recruit a dynamic teacher who is able to support the needs of a range of complex children from across the primary phase in our SRP - The Link. This role would involve taking the lead on curriculum and provision planning, delivery and assessment. Working under the direction of The Link lead and being supported by the 5 wonderful support staff who work in The Link.
This role would also involve some alternative provision support - working alongside a very small number of highly complex children on a 1:1 basis. This would be for children who are on a waiting list for specialist provision and are unable to access mainstream education - with provision most likely being delivered at home.
