We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated teaching assistant to join our supportive and friendly team within our ‘Good’ school, initially working mainly within our Reception class to support a pupil who has additional barriers to their learning, including physical difficulties. Experience of working with children who have special needs would be an advantage and the ability to support with some manual handing and personal care is essential.
The role will be for 30 hours per week, with some time spent supporting pupils at lunchtimes too. Initially, this role is fixed term linked to the pupil, however we would hope for the post holder to work with us for a number of years.
As a teaching assistant, you will be expected to work alongside the class teacher to support the learning of every child in the class, with a particular focus on one or a small group. You will build successful and positive relationships with pupils whilst making learning stimulating and fun.
Training and support will be provided.
