About the role

We are looking to appoint a SENDCO to cover Maternity Leave at our popular junior school.

We are seeking a SENDCO who is committed to children with SEND and has tried and tested approaches on how to remove educational barriers they face.

Whether you are making referrals to health professionals, assessing children, modelling high quality interventions through the Graduated Approach, carrying out observations or responding to parents, you will impress us with your ability to support our dedicated school team. Additionally, the role would take on safeguarding duties, in collaboration with the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher.

Above all you are adaptable, creative, and energetic, with a high level of integrity as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and build positive relationships at all levels with a wide range of professionals.

Part time and full time applications will be considered.

If applying for a full time position, this role also comes with a 2 day teaching commitment (subject to change at Headteacher’s discretion).

If applying for a part time position this role will comprise of SENCO responsibilities only.
