We are looking for a Service Support Officer to play a key role in supporting the delivery of Hertfordshire's Family Support Service by providing high-quality operational, administrative, and coordination support.

About the Role
As our Service Support Officer, you will be at the heart of the Family Support Service, supporting managers and practitioners through effective administration, coordination, reporting, and service support systems.
You will:
Coordinate day-to-day administrative and operational support across the service.
Support service planning, staffing logistics, timetables, and resource allocation.
Oversee key processes such as referrals, registrations, bookings, and service coordination.
Produce reports and maintain accurate records and databases.
Support quality assurance, audits, inspections, and compliance activities.
Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and monitor actions.
Support recruitment, induction, and development activities.
Assist with financial administration, including ordering, invoices, and budget monitoring.
Work collaboratively with managers, practitioners, and partners to ensure excellent service delivery.
About You

High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and database systems.
Experience of maintaining records, reporting, and data management.
The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
Essential Requirements
Significant experience in an administrative or service support role.
Level 3 qualification (or equivalent experience) in administration, business support, or a related field.
Understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding, and information governance.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
Desirable
Experience supporting operational service delivery within health, education, community, or voluntary sector settings.
Experience supervising or supporting staff.
