About the role

Site Manager Vacancy to start in September 2025.

Our wonderful site manager is retiring in August so we are looking for someone to take on the ropes. This is an exciting opportunity for someone already in a similar positon or for someone who has the right skills and is looking for a change of direction. 

Hours will be from 7.30am to 11.30am Monday to Friday.

This is a full time contract, 52 weeks a year. Holiday can be taken during term time or school holidays but needs to fit in with school requirements. Salary depending on experience.

The appointed person will be a key holder and responsible for unlocking the school each morning and to prepare the premises for the start of the day.

We require somone who:

  • Can fulfil the requirements of the job description
  • Is reliable, has a positive attitude and is able to work well as part of a team. 
  • Can work on their own initiative and can organise and prioritise their own workload
  • Is flexible, approachable, with good communication skills
  • Has a knowledge of the main requirements of health and safety legislation and good practice or a willingness to learn them.
  • Has an understanding and sensitivity to the operational needs of a busy primary school.
    is able to undertake minor repairs and maintenance
  • Preferably has own transport with a clean driving licence
  • Is competent with IT, eg emails, and ideally can use basic Microsoft Office

The candidate would be expected to attend training courses relevant to the role, i.e. health and safety for caretakers, asbestos training, ladder safety etc.
