Full time: 37hrs per week
Hours: 7.00-11.00 and 14.30-18.00

Bonneygrove Primary School is looking for an exceptional Site Manager who takes genuine pride in their work and understands that a safe, clean and welcoming environment allows children to flourish.
This isn't just about changing light bulbs (although there will be plenty of those!).
We're looking for someone who becomes the heartbeat of the school site.
Someone who knows every corner of the building.
Someone who can turn a disaster into "it's already sorted."
Someone who can smile whilst being interrupted seventeen times before 9.30am.
Because that's school life.
What you'll actually be doing
No two days are ever the same.
One moment you'll be checking the boilers...
...the next you'll be rescuing a football from the roof.
You'll lead all aspects of premises management including:
Keeping everyone safe
Daily health and safety inspections
Fire alarm and emergency lighting testing
Weekly fire checks
Legionella monitoring
Asbestos awareness
Risk assessments
COSHH compliance
Site security
Locking and unlocking
Emergency procedures
Winter gritting
Managing contractors safely
Looking after the buildings
General maintenance
Minor plumbing
Carpentry
Decorating
Basic electrical maintenance (where appropriate)
Repairs
Preventative maintenance
Keeping classrooms looking fantastic
Managing maintenance schedules
Reporting larger repairs
Looking after the grounds
Ensuring outdoor areas are clean, tidy and safe
Playground inspections
Fencing
Gates
Litter collection
Seasonal maintenance
Supporting outdoor learning spaces
Ensuring our wonderful woodland remains safe for children to enjoy.
Compliance
You'll become the guardian of compliance.
You'll maintain records for:
Fire Safety
Water Hygiene
Electrical Testing
Gas Safety
PAT Testing
Playground Inspections
Security
Health & Safety
Contractors
Risk Assessments
Building Maintenance
Nothing gets missed.
Managing contractors
You'll organise and supervise contractors, ensuring work is completed safely, on time and to a high standard.
No disappearing builders.
No mysterious invoices.
No unfinished jobs.
Supporting school life
Sports Day?
You'll be there.

Definitely helping move staging.

Essential
Experience in premises or facilities management
Excellent DIY and maintenance skills
Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
Good IT skills
Ability to prioritise workloads

Willingness to undertake relevant training
Full commitment to safeguarding children
Desirable
IOSH qualification
NEBOSH qualification
Legionella training
Asbestos awareness

Experience working in schools
Knowledge of Hertfordshire compliance requirements
