About the role
We are looking for a practical, reliable and enthusiastic Site Manager to join our friendly school community.
This is a varied and important role, helping to ensure that our school buildings and grounds are safe, secure, well maintained and welcoming for our children, staff and visitors. Duties will include day-to-day maintenance and repairs, site security, health and safety checks, managing contractors, and helping to keep our school environment looking its best.
We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and able to turn their hand to a range of practical tasks. You will take pride in your work, and, most importantly, understand the importance of working within a school environment. No two days in a school are quite the same!
If you are dependable, approachable and enjoy being part of a busy and supportive team, we would love to hear from you.
The role will be term-time, part time, for 8 hours 45 minutes per week, plus an additional 4 hours a month and 15 days during school holidays. (see job description)
To support you in this role we will offer you:
Harvey Road School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and shortlisted candidates will be asked to share any relevant criminal history prior to interview.
Appointment to this post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service and Barred List check as well as other pre-appointment checks, including an online check, as outlined in Keeping Children Safe in Education (September 2026)
We would strongly recommend that you come and visit us as you will be able to see for yourself how our motto of 'Be Happy, Show Respect, Seek Success' is evident throughout the school!
